Women's Bible Study

Last night kicked off the first of 8 sessions of my Women's Bible Study.  I signed up last fall and really enjoyed it. We took a break during the holidays and started up again last night.  There are 8 of us who sit at our table.  What I like most about our group of ladies is that we are all in different stages in our lives and I feel we can learn a lot from each other.

The next 8 weeks we will be focusing exploring who we are and what our individual purpose in life is. During our time together last night, our speaker started off by reciting a famous quote from author, E.E. Cummings that I'd like to share:

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you are."

So simple, yet so complex. I'm looking forward to the next 8 weeks and sharing this time with 7 other amazing women.

  1. This is great! May I suggest 'The Purpose Driven Life' by Rick Warren. GREAT book. In fact I need to read it again. I'm half way through the book "The Extraordinary by John Bevere" It's a book I got at a Monavie conference. John Bevere is a pastor and speaks at our events from time to time. It's a wonderful book so far and my cousin actually just finished a bible study on it. Perhaps it's one you gals could focus on. It's about being the BEST - the way God wants it to be.

  2. Those are some great suggestions, Al. Thank you. We are currently reading about Moses' life and his journey. I have read the "Purpose Driven Life," which is very good. I am also working the "Artists Way" which is very good too. I will have to check out "The Extraordinary" when I done with the others. Thanks!
