My 3 New Favorite Things...

Oh the splendor in finding new foods and products... They can bring you such joy!  Here are a few items that I have recently discovered that I quickly added to my list of FAVS!

INVENTION #1:  Israeli Couscous

Delicious!  This is something that I have eaten for years, but never really paid attention to it. Often times you see it as a Mediterranean side dish.  It is a scrumptious alternative to rice, but holds no real nutritional advantage over the other. I have to switch over to Quinoa for that.  Anyway, I recently purchased some Israeli Couscous today and prepared it to top over my salad and it was FABULOUS! Thank you Morocco and North Africa for this amazing pasta substitute.  Yummy!

INVENTION #2: Scotch Large Surface Rollers

Despite living with 2 long hair felines, I have become obsessed with keeping my home a hair-free zone. This means, vacuuming my floors, furniture and accent pillows daily.  It can really become a pain!  Well, today I went to Target in hopes to refill my stock of lint rollers.  Much to my astonishment, I found the "Large Surface Roller."  It looks like a paint roller, but for animal hair removal.  OMGOSH! I am in heaven.  Not only does it remove ALL the fur off my furniture, it does so in a fraction of the time it takes to use the vacuum.  Thank you 3M for creating this amazing product!

INVENTION #3: The "FurGOPet" Brush

This brush is unlike any other cat brush I have used. It is a fine tooth brush that helps remove lose fur on longer haired cats.  It also helps to make their fur feel extra silky. Although my cats have not fully warmed up to the new brush, they will appreciate the fact it will save any future trips to the beauty shop for a full-body shave.

  1. I never knew they had lint rollers that big either! I am going to go after work and pick some up. You cats are so funny. I bet they are a lot of fun to watch!

  2. I've only vacuumed my furniture a few times but I know they're covered in hair! I used something by Scotch that was a plastic handled thing with a sheet on it (like velcro almost?) and you use it on your furniture and it gathers the hair. It works pretty good! However I'm a firm believer in using something sticky for animal hair. I'll have to look up these giant rollers myself! And about the couscous...Jeff's mom has made it a few times. I'm partial to it. But I'm curious - why would you use that instead of rice?
