Last weekend, I attended a Women's Retreat with my church in Twin Peaks, CA. Twin Peaks is located in a scenic area of the San Bernardino mountains. The weekend was absolutely amazing. Over 350 women came to experience a weekend filled with music, scripture, enlightenment, laughter and tears.
The ladies of my Bible Study and I decided to ride up together Friday afternoon. After an hour and a half journey from Pasadena to Twin Peaks, we arrived at our destination, Calvary Chapel Conference Center. This large property provided cabin-like lodging which made our stay quite cozy. Although, I have to admit... I was going through cell phone and lap top withdrawals for a few moments. No cell phone reception to be found anywhere near the Center. Fortunately, we were kept so busy from the moment we arrived, that my desire to pick up an electronic device was soon forgotten.  |

After our morning session on Saturday, some of the ladies and I decided to go for a hike near the Center. I took my camera and managed to snap some shots.

Following our hike, we had a few hours to burn yet before our evening session. So, some of us headed into Lake Arrowhead to do some additional site-seeing and gift shopping.
Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and I walked away with a new direction and a greater understanding of God's love for me.
LOVE IT! You know, I have yet to go on a retreat like this but my stepmom went to the Women of Faith conference last year and URGED me to come to the next. I plan on it :) This stuff is SO GOOD for the soul, isn't it??????? GO GOD!
