"Do The Potty Dance..."

Nothing turns my mid-morning television viewing experience from pleasurable to miserable FASTER than this commercial:

I don't care if I had 10 kids who all were gifted like the Jackson's and their stardom depending on learning this dance...there is NO WAY I would teach my kids let alone play this eardrum shattering tune any more than what is on TV.  As it is, they play this annoying commercial about 10 times within an hour.

What I don't get is this instructional video is suppose to teach kids how to do the "Potty Dance." Yet, none of them can do the moves.  They only show snippets of one kid doing a move and than edit together another kid doing the next move.  How do you expect a toddler to do the "Potty Dance" if your on-camera talent can't even do it?

Lord help the wife of this guy "Ralph" who had to sit in the other room and listen to him draft these lyrics AND come up with the moves.  Yes, his bank account probably has 6-figures in it, but I don't care.

"Ditch the diaper...do the dance...Let's all wear our big kid pants..."  OMGosh, Seriously?

Ralph better hope I never run into him because I may be forced to do the "potty dance" all over his shoes.

  1. Girl, you are hilarious! I can't stand this commercial either. I turn the channel whenever I see it. I'd rather teach my kids the Macarena than this!

  2. I can't see the video as I'll have to view it when I get home but I was thinking about this this morning. I'm thinking I would rather teach my child to tell me when they need to go rather than do a dance and think it's COOL 'cuz before you know it, they're all wrapped up in the 'fun of the dance' and then whoops! They never make it to the bathroom. But hey, they were dancin' cute, right? WRONG! lol!

  3. Um...yeah. Just watched the video. I'd say the guy had an EXTREME lack of creativity and it seems there should be other lines insert in this jingle but he decided to just leave them out? "I talk on my phone?" Sorry but my kid ain't havin' a phone when he's 4! This is quite hilarious. Terribly hilarious and I feel sorry for this dude.
