Yesterday was such a gorgeous day! Clear skies, temps in the 80's, visions of State Fair food dancing in my head...who could complain? And did I mention all this in January?
I don't know what it is about warm weather and my anticipation for the State Fair. All I know is, when the temps start to rise, I start getting State Fair fever! Growing up, I used to work in the Dairy Building at the MN State Fair serving milk shakes and ice cream cones with my best friend Holly. Those were the days when you could afford to quit your summer job 2 weeks early because you made more money at the fair than you did at your summer job!
So, yesterday I had plans to meet up with a couple girlfriends for a morning hike. We had every intention to go hiking, however, we opted to skip the hike altogether and go for lunch in downtown Burbank. Burbank is one of my favorite places to visit. It has lovely buildings, cozy coffee shops and delectable eateries.
On my way home from brunch, I couldn't help but notice the gorgeous hills of Griffith Park. They were simply breathtaking. I drove towards them in hopes to find a good spot to get out of my car and take a couple pics to share with you. Little did I know, I'd come across this adorable horse ranch where they were busy giving horseback riding lessons.
Along side the ranch, I found a spot where I could park and take some pictures. I could have spent all day enjoying this view.
