Today is the first day of summer! I woke up to a beautiful sky and warm sun shining through my window. I love mornings...especially ones like today.
I had a bunch of errands to run this morning, so I quickly ran out the door and went on my way. Even though it is only 2:30PM, so many random things got my attention today:
1) Driving through Beverly Hills this morning, I witnessed nothing but good looking men walking to and fro. They were all wearing fancy suits looking all debonair. Nothing like a guy in a nice suit, right???
2) Driving on Santa Monica Blvd in WestLA and seeing a guy holding a "Homeless" sign when he clearly does not look homeless. He looked like he could be a model for Panama Jack Apparel. Hmm...
3) Also on Santa Monica Blvd in WestLA, the following billboard was posted. Is the beat-up chick really necessary? It's hard to read, but it implies that one of the following happened to her...a) Auto Accident
b) Fell off a motorcycle
b) Fell off a motorcycle
c) Slip and Fall
d) Animal Attack
4) Listening to country radio and hearing George Strait's new single, "Here For A Good Time" and realizing it sounds like every other song of his. Where's the depth in your lyrics Mr. Strait?
5) Standing in line at a post office in Santa Monica, I realized that no matter what post office you are at in LA, people complain the lines are long and the employees are not friendly. The only exception I have found is in Rancho Palos Verdes. They are over the top nice! Then again...if I lived in a community where houses were over 10 million dollars, I'd demand a nice postal service worker too.
6) An abundance of Prius drivers on the freeway today....not necessarily a good thing.
7) All the girls in Starbucks keep staring at this guy sitting next to me. From what I can tell, he doesn't look famous, or overly handsome. He looks like a normal ordinary guy. I can't figure out why. Perhaps it is because he is drinking a venti Starbucks with whipcream??? I'm clueless.
8) I've had Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood's new single, "Remind Me" on continuos repeat on my ipod for over an hour now. Am I weird?

ha ha! great post! Right when I opened your blog and saw that billboard, I didn't even have to read what you wrote before I started cracking up! Seriously? Did they think that image was necessary? And the head tilt? That must have been the last request of the photographer "now tilt your head a little, there! perfect!" Maybe she could also use this as a head shot? Pretty sure Teen Wolf could use her as what can happen after a wolf attack. And "personal injuries?" Makes me think of "Did you do this to yourself?" Hmm....
ReplyDeleteAs far as starbucks goes, maybe the gals were staring at his awesome normalness because he didn't look like every other guy that walked in there? Nah.... I'd say they were in 'awe' at your beauty! They can see your "Minnesota Nice" and are ASTOUNDED by it :)
