Linus (Lucy is in the box) |
I've been so busy this week, that I forgot to acknowledge my kittens turning 7 months on Tuesday! In celebration of this milestone, here are some recent pictures of them. Some of these were taken from my cell phone, so the quality may not be all that great.

Next to my bed, I have a basket which holds the blankets they were taken home in. Since day one, they insist on taking naps in this basket and LOVE to be wrapped up in their blankets. When it is time for bed, I simply say, "Okay you guys, time to go to bed!" They both gallop into the bedroom and jump into their basket. The only problem is, they are growing so fast that they both can no longer fit in the basket. If they do, they look like sardines squeezed in a can. I guess that means I need to buy them a bigger basket!
Lucy is not a fan my camera. I don't blame her because the flash can be bright and from what I read, cats often shy away from bright light. Linus doesn't seem to mind it as much. In fact, he actually poses for the camera. I call him my Hollywood cat.
Linus and Lucy are Ragdolls, the largest cat breed. They can reach as much as 20-25 lbs. I surely hope that is not the case. If it is, I will have the best arms in town from lifting them every day. Who needs free weights when you have 20 pound cats??? I weighed them the other day and Linus is already at 10 lbs. Lucy is slightly less at 6 lbs. Supposedly, Ragdolls don't reach their adult weight/size until 3 years old. Yikes!
One of their favorite things to do is sit in front of my sliding glass door and watch the birds. They will literally sit there for hours... until Lucy gets excited and jumps onto my screen...with her nails. Than the fun ends and the door closes.
Happy 7 months to my cuddly peanuts!
Your cats are so adorable! I hope to see them this weekend! I'll bring them a snack. Any thing in particular that they like?
ReplyDeleteJust the fact that you can say you're SCREEN is there and visible and touchable - makes me so jealous! ugh! I long for warmth! MN winter is ALMOST done right? another 2 months I'm sure. Your kitties are beautiful! They'd get along with Razz and Whiskey I'm sure. Well, maybe not Whiskey. He seems to think he's head of the house. The little snot. but I do have to say that your cats TOTALLY fit your personality! If there ever were a couple of cats that I knew Mols would have - it'd be these two!!!!!
ReplyDelete25 pounds?!!! Holy crap. My dog weighs 15. Your cats are going to be huge! hahaha ;)
