The Bachelor

Now and again I find myself in the mood for some good ole reality tv... or dare I say, "scripted reality?"

Tonight while channel surfing, I came across, The Bachelor. That show sucks me in every time :) I love the cat fights, the fancy dresses and all the drama. There was lots of it tonight too! Anyway, I'm watching the "rose ceremony" and Brad Womack has 20-some girls waiting to have their name called and be given a rose. He starts calling them one by one..."Chantal H." ..."Ashley S." ..."Kimberly" and than I start thinking, "How does he remember all their names?" I mean, he has spent less than a week with all these ladies and already he knows all of their names? Not too bad Mr. Brad Womack!

So, I began to think... What if he is using an inner ear bud in his right ear and his producer is telling him the names? After all, you only see his left side throughout the entire "rose ceremony."  It would be easy to write the girls you want on a piece of paper beforehand and than have the producer relay the names in your ear bud. Who wouldn't take advantage of that technology?  I would! When I am on stage and it's time for me to introduce my band, I am always afraid I'm gonna go blank and not remember someone's name. How embarrassing would that be? I think an inner-ear bud would be a fabulous idea. Kind of like in the movie, The Devil Wears Prada where Anne Hathaway's character whispers all the names of the important party guests to Meryl Streep's character before she says "hello" to them.  I need an Anne Hathaway!

Needless to say, The Bachelor did not disappoint tonight. It was a good episode. I look forward to tuning in next Monday for some more cat fights, tears and drama-rama!

  1. I have yet to sit down and watch the Bachelor. Although I know a lot of gals that watch it! I had sports on in the background last night as I fell asleep - does that count? ha! And yes, I think an ear bud would be nice to have. Wait til you have kiddos. Your brain pretty much shuts off. I couldn't figure out how to buckle my seatbelt on the plane the other day (it looked different than the typical ones) and it would have been nice if a little voice in my ear said, "turn it around"
