Thank you Blackberry Gods

The skies have parted...my Blackberry is FINALLY working.

I recently upgraded my cell plan to unlimited data, text and phone.  This took place on the 23rd of May and ever since then, anything data related didn't work. I was unable to send or receive emails, my blackberry messaging didn't work and I was not able to access the web or GPS. Ugh!  It wasn't phone related, but service.

I started off by calling my carrier last week about it. Now, many of you know, I used to work for T-Mobile so I know a thing or two about wireless problems.  A young lad with Customer Service told me that it probably had to do with a tower in the area that could be down. Uhh...no.  Then, I was told by another Customer Service rep that it was a global blackberry issue.  I might have believed that except for the fact my friends who are blackberry users didn't have any issues with their phones.

So, I waited...and waited.  As of yesterday afternoon, I still had no resolution. So, I decided to go into a retail store and ask them to assist me.  To make a LONG story short...

-Yesterday Alone: 2 hours spent with 1 store manager, 2 separate T-Mobile tech support individuals on the phone and 1 tech support person from RIM (company who makes the blackberry): NO RESOLUTION

-Today: 2 phone calls to T-Mobile tech support: NO RESOLUTION

-After being completely frustrated and about to throw my phone out the window, I called back a third time. I had it with T-Mobile, so, I called to cancel my service.  Almost immediately after hanging up from that cal, my phone data plan started to work and all of my messages started to flow to my phone and I could use the internet.

I guess it's safe to say I will be sticking around a bit longer.

Thank you Blackberry Gods!
